Resetting and choosing a new password via this function requires that you have registered and verified contact information in advance. You cannot do this if you have forgotten your password or the password no longer works for some reason.
Universityadmissions.se is the site where you apply to study at Lund University or other higher education institutions in Sweden.
Please note that you must have a confirmed account at Universityadmissions.se to activate your user account at Lund University via Universityadmissions.se.
When you apply for a course for the first time, you create an account on Universityadmissions.se. You log in with the same login information each time you want to apply for new courses or programmes.
If you have a Swedish personal identity number and a registered Swedish address you will receive a letter with an one time passcode as soon as you have created an account. When you log in to Universityadmissions.se and enter the one time passcode your account will be confirmed. With a confirmed account you can see your Swedish upper secondary school record and other qualifications, reply to your admission descisions, read your messages and search for courses within a programme.
As a student at Lund University you can activate your LU account via Universityadmissions.se after you have received your second admission decision. This is currently the quickest way to get an LU account as a student at Lund University.
eduID.se provides an easy, fast and safe way for students to verify their identity. eduID.se can be used for logging into Universityadmissions.se to apply for course and study programmes and reduces the number of logins students need to keep track of during their studies.
Please note that you must have a confirmed account on eduID.se to activate your userid at Lund University via eduID.se.
Staff and others active at Lund University can use eduID.se to activate their userid or to set a new password if they have forgotten it.
On eduID.se you can confirm your account by entering your personal identity number and then confirm it by one of the various methods available. As soon as you have confirmed your account at eduID.se you can use it to activate your userid or set a new password if you have forgotten it.
One time passcode
If you are unable to use Universityadmissions.se or eduID.se to log in to activate your userid or set a new password, you can receive a new one time passcode by presenting a valid ID at a number of places at the University:
As students, staff or others active at LU with a Swedish personal identity number, you can log in with your LU account and the one time passcode. Please note that the one time passcode is only valid for four hours after you received it.
If you do not have a Swedish personal identity number or is an external user, i. e. not a student, employee or otherwise active at Lund University, you will receive special instructions on the sheet with the one time passcode that you will receive. Please note that the one time passcode is only valid for four hours after you have received it.
If you do not have a Swedish personal identity number and cannot pick up a one time passcode in Lund, please contact the IT Service Desk at Lund University to get more help.
What is a valid ID for receiving a one-time password?
•National identity card issued within the EU, EEA or Switzerland
•Driving licence isued from 2013 (or later) within the EU, EEA or Switzerland
•Swedish driving licence
•Swedish Tax Agency identity card
•SIS-marked identity card issued by a Swedish bank or company
•Swedish national identity card issued by the Swedish police
